Hannah Arendt (1907-1976) was a widely known German philosopher. In 1933, when the Nazi took over power, she was expelled to Paris, then to New York. The single cause that led to her fleeing was because of the burden of being Jewish. Jewishness or being Jewish however was not her point of view. In fact, for young Arendt, the "Jewish Question" is boring. In line with that, in the same year, Arendt wrote a letter to her mentor, Karl Jaspers and boldly insisted: "For me, German is my mother tongue, philosophy and poetry." To the very end, the combination of mother tongue-philosophy-poetry was something she 'steadfastly' held in all circumstances.

The Truth Has Been Revealed

Almighty God Says
Oh, son of Adam! Indeed the truth has been revealed to you from your Lord
Whoever wants to believe let him believe and whoever wants to disbelieve let him be a disbeliever

Love is like a rock
a rock, even a stone
a stone cast from a dock
by one who stands alone
One is like a word
a word for one to say
to say and to have heard
to splash beside the quay
The sea is like a song
a song of words of love
I to You belong
A stone falls from above
A heart is like a stone
that shines just like the sea
into which it's thrown
with constant melody
Then wave falls upon wave
as hand reaches to hand
as words our hearts engrave
with song of love's command

A Part of Imam Ali's Letter to His Son, Imam Hasan Mojtaba. NO: 31
Do good to your brother when he is bent upon doing harm to you
When he ignores or declines to recognize the kinship, befriend him, go to his help and try to maintain relations
If he is miserly with you and refuses to help you, be generous with him and support him financially
If he is cruel with you, be kind and considerate with him. If he harms you accept his excuses
Behave with him as if he is a master and you are a slave, and he is a benefactor and you are a beneficiary
But be careful that you do not thus behave with undeserving and mean persons like this

All the respected nations like Iraqis and Egyptians and other oppressed ones should rise up and do not listen to the corrupted voices who are trying to show the hypocrite oppressors as Muslims, these nations should not fear these hollow powers! 1

Shias are living with the love towards Imam Hussain and Ahlulbayt(Prophet Mohammad’s family) but some of us remain in the mere mourning for them and do not go deep into Ahlulbayts’ words. Imam Hussain has a speech on Ahura day before his martyrdom from which I have chosen some parts here
With dedication to the master of all martyrs, Imam Hussain - peace and blessings of God be upon him

Shia’s reasoning for Welayat (succession of Prophet Mohammad) are as follow:1
At the beginning of his prophecy, Prophet Mohammad introduced Ali as his successor and representative
On the other hand, Qadeer happened on the last Hajj of Prophet Mohammad
Plus Qadeer Qum was a place at which the road of Arabia was separated from Iraq and Syria
When Prophet Mohammad asked the pilgrims, he first told them
“Aren’t I prior to you from yourselves?” people answered: “Yes, You are.” In the Quran Surah Ahzab, the sixth verse we read

Lady Fatima Zahra (PBUH) Says: “fasting in Ramzan is considered obligatory by God for fixing the genuineness of your intentions”1

Once Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said to a woman who was scorning her slave while fasting: “Break now your fast with some food” . The woman replied that she was fasting and Prophet Mohammad said: “how do you fast and scorn others? Fasting is not the mere prohibition from eating and drinking”.1

In the holly Qoran, some adjectives like Moflehin (prosperous people) and Faezin (the successful ones) are used for the people who achieve divine prosperity. Performing nammaz is amongst the behavioral traits of Mofelhin and Faezin, as we read in the Qoranic surahs:1
Those who humble themselves in their prayers; (Momenun 2)1
And those who keep a guard on their prayers (Momenun 9)1
And they are constant in guarding their prayers. (Anaam 92)1
Guard strictly your (habit of) prayers, especially the middle prayer. (Baqare 238)1
Those who are constant in prayer; (Maarej 23)1

The concept of patience in the Qoran has got a vast meaning and in Shia Hadiths, patience is introduced in three different categories: patience against sins, patience in hardship and difficulties and patience in praying and submitting to God rules

Performing namaaz (prayer) and giving importance to it is the base and pillar of Islam. Namaaz is the distance between atheism and faith in God and acceptance of all our worshiping depends on acceptance namaaz. Namaaz is not only in Islam but it was seen in all religions of God and for its special significance, it never disappears. Any Muslim after their own abilities must perform this great task. Namaaz is the re promising of worshipers with God and this re promising must be always repeated. One of the conditions in performing namaaz is that the worshiper must have full attention and be submissive to God, if it is performed like that the heart becomes bright and moderate
Nammaz removes the bad and dark effects of sins and also removes one’s eager for more sin and wrong doings then it is an obstacle for vices. Prophet Muhammad (PBHU) told to his companions: stand up for namaaz and turn off the fires had turned on in your hearts by performing namaaz. AlTahzib ElAhkam 2nd vol page:238
Performing namaaz has its own customs and orders that these customs are collections of a civilized respected person who is raised very well. A person who is raised well respects others’ social rights. A namaaz performer also first must be concerned about the place and clothes of performing namaaz, about the water and place of making vozoo and also if they woe anything to others they must pay it first and then they are allowed to perform namaaz
Cleanness, being familiar with others’ rights, knowing the time of performance, having order and continence all and all are characteristics of a well raised person. A true performer of namaaz knows the true time for performance, is clean, knows the qebleh (Ka’ba) and is aware of some realities above materials and tangible stuffs. This person is tidy, is able to concentrate all their thoughts and emotions on a holly and elevated point and is able to confess and accept their sins and wrong doings
Namaaz is the symbol of need and submission of the creatures to the Creator! All beings and creatures are submission and in need to the power of God. Human beings through namaaz confess this submission to God because namaaz includes standing up, going to rokoo’ (to bow down), going to sajdeh (to put head on the ground and soil), to say takbir, tasbih, etc and putting away all worldly things

If you are patient and guard against evil then that will be a determining factor in all affairs [AL-E-IMRAN – 186] In previous text we talked bout patience and its meaning from both the Qoranic and the public points of views. In the Qoran and God’s words, patience is stability and steadiness of the soul and it is a main pillar for one’s characteristic while in public points of views it is passiveness and keep waiting which is one the dangerous soul illnesses! It is mostly seen that those who attack the religion, mention public visions or illusions which are very much mixed with superstitions. But they usually do not refer to the main reliable sources i.e. the holly book and hadiths of Ahlulbayt so there brought about wrong interpretations. In one of the anti Islam book it was written about patience that this Islamic virtue is a reason for stagnation and hesitation. So it kills the intentions for more struggles in life and leads people towards submission against pressures. [Extracted from Shahid Motahari’s articles in the book Wisdom and Advices] |

One of the traits which is highly admired by both intellect and our holy book, the Quran, is patience. But many times the true meaning of patience is not obtained like many other valuable features and these wrong interpretations end into spiritual diseases. Some times there are such deviations made by some people in purpose who make such discrepancies like Baha’is and Jews that deceived a great number of people by their incorrect interpretations

Good behavior and bad behavior like all other things in this world have their own reasons and causes. To gain good characteristics and deny bad ones we need to find the reasons and causes of each of them
Prophet Mohammad had said: “any child is born with Islamic nature, then perhaps mother and father enter them into other religions” [ElJanaez, Part 80 & 93] it means that Nature makes mistake less nature for human beings and Islamic rules are in harmony with Nature

Prophet Mohammad (PBUH): “I was sent to finish and complete the dignified behavior” (Al-Behar 1st Vol, Page411)
These words of Prhophet Mohammad mean that he was sent by God to teach people to bahave nicely and complete humanity. Man needs to aquire good behavior. The best aquintance of human beings during several centuries are behaving nicely and being honored to have such characteristics
